Zoë Davis

Freelance Documentary Film Editor and Consulting Editor. For the past couple of decades, Zoe's work has broadcast across the world both on prime international television networks and on theatrical release. Several of these titles have received prestigious awards, including nominations and wins at GRIERSON, RTS and BIFA.

After working with the legendary Walter Murch on the multi award-winning feature documentary COUP 53, Zoe later went on to edit the RTS-nominated EXTRAORDINARY RITUALS (BBC STUDIOS/BBC2) and THE PARKINSON'S DRUG TRIAL (BBC2), which won both the GRIERSON and the RTS for Best Science Documentary in 2019. More recently, she edited the NETFLIX ORIGINAL series, ALIEN WORLDS, which was one of the top ten streaming shows in its first week. Although she prefers working with long form documentary, Zoe also enjoys cutting commercials, film trailers and high-end branded content.

As a documentary editor, Zoe seeks out projects about the humans and wildlife that make our planet extraordinary. She jumps at the opportunity to work on films that give underrepresented voices a wider audience. She is also often drawn to stories that have a science or investigative angle. As a violinist, Zoe enjoys working with music and relishes the daily challenge of finding the perfect blend of sound, music and actuality to evoke emotion.

She is hugely committed to each project, and enjoys being involved from concept through to completion, embracing early script proofing, archive, grading, liaising with production libraries, previs/VFX, and working closely with composers and the sound designer to produce highly original content.

As a dual citizen, Zoe is available to work in both UK and Australia and is also set up remotely.
