Pip Hart

I’m a Film and TV Editor, based in Meanjin (Brisbane), Queensland. I love to tell stories with a strong heartbeat. Recently, Inside Film Magazine featured me in its 2022 Rising Talent issue.

I studied Film and television at Griffith QCA, graduating with a love of editing in 2010. After honing my technical skills as an Assistant Editor on feature films, I edited broadcast Children’s programs such as Imagination Train, Totally Wild, BrainBuzz and You’re Called What?! I returned to the classroom as a lecturer at JMC Academy from 2013 to 2014.

I enjoy editing both scripted and unscripted content. In 2021, after Assembly Editing for feature films The Possessed and Christmas on The Farm, I edited episodes in NITV’s coming of age drama series, Barrumbi Kids. I’ve edited documentary series such as Wildest Places, Just Animals Season 2, Fight To Live and My Body Says which launched on ABC iView and won the AIDC 2021 Best Short Form Award; as well as Belonging, which won Best documentary at Melbourne Queer Film Festival 2020. In 2019 I was awarded Best Editing at Tropfest for the short film Crush, and also nominated for an Australian Screen Editors’ Guild award for The Mother Load. I edited The Moths Will Eat Them Up which was awarded Best Live Action Short Film at the Sydney Film Festival 2022.
