Graduated Qld College of Art Film and TV in 1985.Commenced work with the ABC in Brisbane in 1985 as an assistant film editor, working with film ( both reversal and negative ) for a couple of years. Moved from assistant to editor during this period, and did the standard progression, Tape / Computer tape editing ( Ace 25 )/ AVID and Final Cut.Worked on many ABC programs early on including Education, Landline and 7.30 report. Was part of the team that helped establish the new ABC program Australian Story back in 1996 and have been with that program ever since.I have been included on many awards, but I think my greatest achievements were producing and editing two Australian Story programs on motor racing legends Craig Lowndes and Sir Jack Brabham. Both these stories won Journalism awards ( so that was rather fun to mix it with the producers and Journos ).We have recently moved to our new ABC home at South bank and I have a (LARGE) edit suite with a view, SO I AM HAPPY. ps would love to make or be involved in a feature film on Sir Jack Brabham, any advise / contacts would be very welcome.
