Sydney enjoyed its first Sundowner of the year last Sunday at the Keg and Brew in Surry Hills. It was a beautiful afternoon to spend on a rooftop where wonderful people from across post production came to catch up, network, and tell stories from the previous night's Mardi Gras.

It was a great turnout and we were graced by the Emmy (and Ellie) Award-winning team from 'Love on the Spectrum'. They included John Rosser (Editor), Rachel Grierson-Johns (Editor), Simon Callow-Wright (Editor), Leanne Cole (Editor), Naomi Elkin-Jones (Post Producer), Angelique Pham (Edit Assistant).

We also had a lucky door prize of a Davinci Resolve Speed Editor + Studio to give away courtesy of our generous sponsor Blackmagic Design. The winner being the supremely talented Orly Danon ASE.

This is the start of regular monthly meetups, with Sundowners happening on the last Sunday of every month. The details for the next meet up are as follows, with a special guest to be announced closer to the date. We look forward to seeing you there.

Where: Keg and Brew Rooftop - 26 Foveaux St, Surry Hills NSW
When: 2pm Sunday 26th March.
No RSVP is necessary, just turn up on the day and look for the blue balloons.

On the last Sunday of every month, the ASE in Sydney will be hosting an informal get-together where you can meet up with your peers within post production. These sessions are called Sundowners and will feature a special guest(s) who will share their insights over a casual drink.

February’s meet-up features the Emmy Award-winning team behind 'Love on the Spectrum US' (who are also responsible for the AUS version too). Their delicate and masterful work has created a joyous show that follows young adults on the autism spectrum navigating the unpredictable and complicated world of dating and relationships.

The team that are attending include:
John Rosser (Editor)
Rachel Grierson-Johns (Editor)
Simon Callow-Wright (Editor)
Leanne Cole (Editor)
Naomi Elkin-Jones (Post Producer)
Angelique Pham (Edit Assistant)

To up the stakes on our first event of the year we will also be giving away a secret prize from one of our sponsors. So come along and be a part of the vibrant post production scene. Whether it's your first time or you're a veteran, all are welcome.

Where: Keg and Brew Rooftop - 26 Foveaux St, Surry Hills NSW
When: 2pm Sunday 26th February.
