Digistor Helps Small ArchViz Studio Deliver Big Studio Results.
Ben Goodwin founded visualisation studio ENJAMIN Virtual Australia in 2005 with the aim of helping organisations define, plan and visualise their building development projects.
Enjamin works directly with building and landscaping clients on a range of projects from pre-funding design concepts to providing advice to specialist design team members to expedite necessary design and visualisation solutions. Ben's renders enable his clients to visualise the future development of the site whilst respecting and engaging with the locality's history and legacy.
Ben has worked with universities, infrastructure departments, theme parks, architects, planners and developers. Ben enjoys the challenges that the varying scope and scale each project provides.
Building the Vision
To deliver high resolution visualisations in a short turn-around to a professional standard, Ben needed Autodesk's 3ds Max and AEC Collection as well as a system that could support it. Autodesk software is central to the studio's ability to quickly model, measure, present and sell his clients' plans to their audience and potential investors.
To help his clients' projects become a reality, Ben required technology specialists who could not only supply the Autodesk range of products but who had an understanding of high-end visualisation workflow and the technology required to achieve the best results.

Streamlining the Process
Previously, Ben had worked with Digital By Design before it was integrated with Digistor in 2010. He appreciated the technical resources and has continued to be a client of Digistor.
"Digistor are there when I need them and are always spot on with the current market place needs and solutions," he said.
Having been a long term user of AutoCAD and 3ds Max and a customer of Digital By Design before it became part of Digistor, the choice was straight forward.
"I first purchased 3ds Max R8 when I was introduced to Digital By Design at a Discreet product launch night in 2001 and have utilised the software as it evolved and was brought into the Autodesk family. Previously I had been using AutoCAD since 1997."
High-End Workstations and Render Farm
To support Ben's workflow, Digistor provided high-end HP graphics workstations and render farm linked to a SANMAN storage. Running on this system was Autodesk 3ds Max, AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, Design Suite Premium and Revit in AEC Collection.
"3ds Max + V-Ray's continuing evolution and the interconnectedness of the Autodesk product family is excellent. Digistor recommended the switch to the AEC bundle with REVIT and I haven't looked back. This recommendation saved me time and most importantly, money. Digistor has streamlined my software and hardware solutions and allowed me to concentrate on delivering my clients the results they need."
