10-year Accreditation Anniversary Steven Robinson ASE
Date: Sunday 9 June 2019
City:  Melbourne
Location:  The Cherry Tree Hotel  Balmain St Cremorne

It was a rather predictably chilly day for Melbourne at The Cherry Tree Hotel. A small crowd turned up to help celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Steven Robinson ASE. Inside was a mixture of young and old, Assistants and Editors, some who had worked with Steve for four months and some for 40 years.

Steve, best known for editing "Kath & Kim" the TV series and the movie, has now become one of Australia’s busiest documentary Editors. He still manages to spend time with his family, sits on the committee and helps organise and participate in events.
It was a great opportunity to catch up and talk about the good old days of film and how so many changes have happened and how fast everything has become. We remembered when working on a drama how you would spend an hour each day just watching rushes and making notes on each take. Rushes were about 30-40 minutes in duration so you didn’t have the hours of rushes like you have today.

We all had a great afternoon and are looking forward to all catching up at the end of the year ASE Christmas party at a venue yet to be decided.
