Hello documentary lover,

OZDOX PRESENTS:   THE CRATER:  A VIETNAM WAR STORY

with DIRECTOR DAVID BRADBURY, PRODUCER JENNY DAY, PETER COLEMAN ACS, ANDREW ARESTIDES ASE, VFX Artist Allan Moore and SPX Supervisor Chris Murray

A ONE TIME ONLY SNEAK PREVIEW + face to face with filmmaker and the crew - discussion traversing such issues as authenticity in re-enactments, shaping the film, casting process, re-enactments vs the real thing, integrating live Special FX with CGI on a modest budget.

Academy Award nominee David Bradbury has experimented with re-enactments in his new documentary THE CRATER:  a Vietnam war story.  This is a chance for Ozdox viewers to see the film on the big screen prior to broadcast and discuss the issues it raises with Bradbury and his team.

THE CRATER is the story of one man’s tour of duty in Vietnam and his obsessive search to locate 42 former enemy soldiers Killed in Action so their bodies can be returned to their families and their wandering spirits put to rest.

THE CRATER includes interviews with Australian Veterans and the Vietnamese who fought against them, as well the families of the martyrs whose souls are still wandering.   A deeply emotional story about the long-term consequences of war, THE CRATER includes powerful and superb battle re-enactments.
