Membership Renewals & Registrations Paused Until 28/9/25

Membership renewals & new registrations will be unavailable
Monday 25th, August – Sunday 28th, September, 2025.

The ASE is currently updating our membership database.
As a result, membership renewals and registrations have been temporarily paused.

Rest assured that we are working hard to make this as seamless as possible but we appreciate your patience during this transition.

Once the update is finished you will have access to the following new features

  • The ability to pay directly with your credit card via the Stripe Payment platform. The ASE is moving away from PAYPAL as a payment method.

  • The option for you to enable automatic renewals. This is an opt in feature and you will receive notice prior to any payment going through.

  • An updated “Member Profile” including the options to add:

    • Bio

    • Picture

    • State of residence

    • Experience Fields

    • Website link

    • Contact email address

    • IMDB link

    • Instagram Link

    • LinkedIn Link

    • Awards won

    • Curated list of five credits

  • By default “Member Profiles” will list Ellie Award Wins, Highly Commended, and Nominations. This field will be updated automatically by the ASE and a user can choose to opt out if they do not want it displayed.

  • The Experience fields in the “Member Profile” will match the 15 Ellie Award categories.

  • The Member Directory will be more searchable, including the option to select Accredited Members and Ellie Nominees.

  • The new system features improved security.

    How will this impact Members?

  • Members will be unable to renew their membership between 25th August and the 28th of September. If your membership is due to expire during this period, an automatic extension will be granted until the migration is complete. This will not affect your eligibility for future accreditation & you will still be able to attend ASE events.

  • Members will be unable to login to the website at times during this period. Information will be provided on the ASE homepage when scheduled maintenance is due to occur.

  • After the migration, members will receive an email to reset their password.

  • Members will also be prompted to fill out the new fields in their “Member Profile”.

  • The number of credits listed on a members profile page is being reduced from 10 to 5. The first five listed credits will be migrated across.

FAQ

How secure is this database migration?

  • The ASE has been doing its utmost to ensure security. The ASE national administrator & vice-president have been liaising with a small Australian based group of IT specialists on a cloud based, secure repository. No individual data has been shared with anyone outside of the IT specialists.

Will the ASE accept payments other than credit card?

Will the ASE be storing our credit card details?

  • No, the ASE will not store any of your financial details.

  • Stripe will be handling all payment and credit card details.  Stripe stores the credit card transaction for up to 7 years.

  • If you choose for your credit card details to be stored for auto-renewal, your credit card details are saved by Stripe.

What do I need to do before the migration?

  • Ensure the 5 credits you want carried across to the new database are in the top 5 rows.

The new database will have many more new features which we will share with you over the coming weeks.

We are excited to launch these updated services with the new database & hope they will enrich your experience with the ASE website & provide you with many new professional opportunities. At the same time it will also automate many time intensive manual processes for the ASE so that we can be more efficient with how we spend our membership fees.
