Fiona Strain ASE

Currently proud president of the ASE.

As an editor I have worked on both documentary and drama productions, covering a wide range of topics.
My role often includes that of post production supervisor, finishing films through the grade, sound post and on to website or DVD distribution.

"Dancing Down Under" (Atom Award, Best Children's Factual Series),
"The Science of Teens" (ASE Award, Best Editing in TV Non Drama),
"Liberal Rule" (AFI and ADG Awards for Best Documentary Series).

"My Mother Her Daughter" Opening Night, WOW Film Festival 2014
"Abbie" (Best Short Film, BOFA Film Festival Tasmania),
"Driven" (ASE Nominated Best Editing, Short Drama),
Mirror Mirror II (AFI Nominated Best Children's Television Drama)

Along the way I have enjoyed teaching editing and post production skills at AFTRS as Editing Lecturer and later teaching various short courses at film schools here and overseas.

I have an edit suite at home, but also enjoy being one of a team in one of our great facilities. I have learnt to be flexible with my edit tools, using Avid, FCP and Adobe Premier Pro.
