Peter O'Donoghue

I am a NZ-born, Sydney-based picture editor working in documentary, feature film, broadcast and online content. Most of the projects I've edited have won awards, had cinema releases, played in international festivals or been broadcast on AU/NZ television.

Among my credits are feature documentary Spookers (2017) - a coproduction between Madman Production Company, NZ Film Commission and Screen Australia, which I co-wrote and edited. Spookers had a NZ theatrical release in 2017 after screening in numerous international festivals including Hot Docs, Sheffield Doc Fest, SFF, Dark Mofo, NZIFF and MIFF. I also co wrote and edited Pulp: a Film about Life, Death and Supermarkets (2014), which premiered at SXSW and played in numerous international festivals, as well as winning Best Music Film at the NME Awards in 2015 in London. I edited Ep 2 (ABC version) and Eps 1 & 2 (ARTE France version) or multi-award-winning 2013 documentary series First Footprints. And in 2011 I won Best Editing at the NZ Film and TV Awards for Love Story, which also won Best Feature Film.
