Scott is a freelance editor with over fifteen years experience and a committed focus on documentary and drama. In 2013 Scott was awarded an ‘Ellie’ by the Australian Screen Editors Guild for Best Editing in a Documentary Feature for the film ‘Show Me The Magic- The Adventures of Don McAlpine’. In 2012 he was nominated for the same award for the documentary feature ‘The Curse of the Gothic Symphony’ and in 2008 Scott received an AFI nomination for Best Editing In A Documentary for the film ‘Rare Chicken Rescue’ which was nominated for a total four AFI awards including Best Documentary.

With a background in Architecture Scott found an affinity with the world of filmmaking and was compelled to make the move. Initially he worked creatively in video art installation, theatre set extension, music performance installation and then started making music videos.

As a co-founding member of production house 50/50 Films, and working in the capacity of director and editor, Scott has received seven ARIA Award nominations for ‘Best Australian Music Video’ and collaborated with artists such as actor Russell Crowe, director Ron Howard, Australian rock band Powderfinger, World Champion Boxer Anthony Mundine AFL star Ben Cousins, and music legends DEVO.
