Adam Rainford

BIO
Adam Rainford is a film and television editor, screenwriter, and creative producer, with a strong background in animation and storytelling. He got his start in hand-drawn animation at Walt Disney Studios in Sydney, working on projects like Tarzan, Lilo & Stitch II, and The Jungle Book II. Over time, he moved into editing and has since worked across a wide range of animated series and feature films.

Adam has edited projects such as Tashi, Bottersnikes & Gumbles, Maya the Bee: The Honey Games, and Maya the Bee 3: The Golden Orb. He’s often collaborated with director Noel Cleary, and the two have shared their insights into animation and storytelling through workshops and talks, including on the Australian Screen Editors Guild podcast Final_Final_Locked.

In recent years, Adam has also taken on creative producing and co-writing roles, helping to shape new animated features and adaptations—like a screen version of Shaun Tan’s Tales from Outer Suburbia. With a focus on character, pacing, and story rhythm, he continues to enjoy working closely with artists and storytellers to bring ideas to life.
