The Australian Screen Editors in conjunction with Digistor are hosting the first #EditRoyale. Five emerging editors will compete to show off their editing artistry and speed. Each will edit a one-minute music video in only two hours. The editor that produces the best edit of the night will win 2 tickets to the Annual Australian Screen Editor Awards (The Ellies) on 2nd December! Other prizes include Adobe mugs and gift from Avid!
DATE: Thursday 14 September
TIME: 6:30-9:30pm.
PLACE: Digistor, 5-7 Cleg Street, Artarmon, NSW
If you're not competing, come along to witness emerging editors making creative decisions under pressure. Watch how others work across the different platforms. Pick up invaluable tips! One lucky attendee will walk away with a G-Technology G-DRIVE ev USB 3.0 1TB portable drive, with compliments from Digistor. We'll be drawing the prize on the day, so you need to be there to win.

Edit Royale is a fun, live and interactive event where you get to witness the programmes emerging from the raw media while enjoying the live commentary. So make sure you don't miss this highly entertaining night. Follow the link below to register.

When you register for this event, you have the option to apply to be a competitor (ASE Members only). We'll provide competitors with a grunty computer, your editing software of choice (Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premiere), plus all media files ready to edit, including music kindly provided by our sponsors Audio Network. You just turn up and strut your stuff. But get in early as the competition is tough and spaces are limited. The five competing editors will be randomly selected from the applicants on 27th August.
Edit Royale is also an opportunity to find potential new assistants or to forge relationships with emerging editors - plus see old friends and make new ones. Plus did we mention PIZZA, BEER and WINE?? We hope to see you there!
